Lower Bavaria as a business location is developing dynamically. The region in the east of the German province Bavaria shares a border with the Czech Republic in the northeast and with Austria in the southeast. This situation within a three-country region makes Lower Bavaria unique.

Traditionally, Lower Bavaria is influenced significantly by industry, however, it has also for many years been one of the most important tourist destinations of Germany, thanks to the Bavarian Forest and its health spas.
